Overview

Anne graduated from the University of Kentucky with a degree in French and another in Spanish. She became passionate about education after working for UK's College of Arts & Sciences and their Education Abroad Department. After volunteering at a local elementary school, she developed an interest in teaching. While working on her master's degree she taught French 101, 102, and 106 at UK. After seeing the way many incoming freshmen struggled with their classes, Anne decided to move to teaching at the high school level with the hope of better preparing teens for college by helping them apply for college, write essays, get scholarships, and fine tune their skills in reading, English, math, and science. She taught ACT & College Prep at Independence Academy High School for one year before applying for the Program Specialist position at MADD in 2023, hoping to be able to share life-saving information that students often don't receive in a typical school curriculum.
